Duncan Scarry – 7th Digital Dealer Conference Presentation
Duncan Scarry delivered the general session presentation at the 7th Digital Dealer Conference & Exposition in Nashville. Over 600 people attended his session. The topic was “The Top Dealer Internet Initiatives for 2010,” and covered what initiatives were important in 2010, how to implement them and how to measure their success. This presentation was a follow-up to his Spring 2009 Digital Dealer Presentation titled, “Increase Your Traffic 30% In Just 30 Days.” Click here to view that presentation.

Duncan Scarry’s presentation as reviewed on DealerRefresh.com:
“Duncan Scarry talked about the “The Top 10 Initiatives to Implement in 2010”, and his presentation verified one of my greatest areas of emphasis in this coming year. Duncan showed a TV commercial that was made for one of their car dealer clients. While measuring the results of this TV commercial campaign, they could see that their phone calls increased significantly following the airing of the commercials (I believe around 140%). But… the call tracking numbers indicated that the calls were coming in from the dealer’s website….” Click here to read the article.

One of the problems I see with the automotive industry has been quality. When certain auto companies sales have declined, too many of them have chosen to try to cut costs on quality control, going so far as deliberately ignoring QC’s findings of problematic safety concerns, be it a rim, a tire, a gasket, a windshield, engine, or whatever. In the end, the customer suffers with faulty product, and possibly even worse- potentially death. And when that happens, it is a tragedy. This of course can and will lead to reduced over all sales on all levels. When a company or salesperson demonstrates real excellence that exists in their product, and maintains that excellence, wise customers will pay for that quality if they have a great salesperson to show them why they should. Every one wants quality autos, whether they can afford it or not. It is up to us to show our buyers the reality of the quality we sell, and why it is superior. Thank you for a great seminar by Grant Cardone!
